The effects of transcranial electrical stimulation (TENS) on headache and cerebral blood flow have been studied extensively. TENS is most commonly used in the treatment of migraine and tension-type headache (TTH) and has been shown to decrease headache pain in both migraines and TTH. However, the influence of placebo on clinical trials has not been thoroughly investigated. In this pilot study, we evaluated the effects of TENS and placebo on migraine and TTH. Thirty-three patients were randomized to TENS, placebo, or no treatment (control) groups. A 4-week, double-blinded crossover study with active treatment and 3-week washout periods was performed. One hundred thirty-two headache episodes were recorded over 28-day diary periods. The results of analysis of variance showed that the TENS treatment significantly reduced the number of migraine episodes (treatment effect, P = 0.021; control effect, P = 0.001; interaction, P = 0.017), as well as the number of days with headache (treatment effect, P = 0.010; control effect, P = 0.001; interaction, P = 0.020) compared with placebo. There were no significant differences in the number of days with headache or in the number of episodes of TTH between the TENS and placebo groups. A nonstatistically significant trend was seen in the percentage of patients who reported a significant improvement in the number of days with headache and the number of episodes of TTH in the TENS group compared with the control group. There were no significant effects of treatment on the number of days with headache or the number of episodes of TTH in the placebo group compared with control. TENS significantly reduced the number of days with migraine and the number of episodes of migraine. There were no significant effects of TENS on the number of days with headache or the number of episodes of TTH in the placebo group compared with control. Placebo had minimal effects on the treatment outcomes. This suggests that the observed changes are due to the TENS treatment.Recap
The episode opens with an injured Yvgeny Sverdlov attempting to steal the mother of fireballs, and attempt to purchase the mother of fireballs. He manages to kidnap five people and attempts to sell them on the black market. He tells the buyer that he'll sell them the five people alive, but they're sure they'll be dead soon. Yvgeny is ordered by a prison guard to take the five people to a prison, and kill them all. Yvgeny is told that the people are now dead. Yvgeny tries to escape with the mother of fireballs, and while he does manage to escape, the mother of 0b46394aab
